Rich & Delicious Chocolate Fondue
PRO-TIPS:
- Stir the heavy cream frequently to prevent scorching.
- Butter adds great shine and flavor
- Make sure the cutting board you are using is clean and dry. Moisture causes the chocolate to seize.
- You can use store bought rice cereal treats and pound cake but if you’d like to make them yourself please use the links below to use my recipes:
Yield:
1 Pot of Fondue
Ingredients:
- 1 lb Good Quality Dark or Milk Chocolate
- 14 oz Heavy Cream
- 2 tbsp Butter
Optional Ingredients for Dipping:
- Pretzel Rods
- Jumbo Marshmallows
- Whole Strawberries
- Pound Cake Cubes (Link for Chef of All Trades Quick & Easy Pound Cake)
- Rice Crispy Cubes (Link for Chef of All Trades Sofy & Gooey Crispy Rice Cereal Treats)
Instructions:
1. Pour the heavy cream and butter into a medium sauce pot. Place over medium heat until almost boiling. Stir frequently to prevent scorching.
2. While the heavy cream is heating up, chop the chocolate into small pieces. The smaller the better as they will melt easier. Put the chocolate in a serving bowl and set aside.
3. When the heavy cream is heated, remove from the heat and pour it over the chocolate. Let sit for a few seconds then stir making sure all the chocolate is melted. If all of your chocolate didn’t melt you can gently heat it on the stove over low heat until all of the chunks are gone.
4. You’re ready to start dipping and enjoying!
