Equipment

  • Instant Pot (Not needed you can use a pot of boiling water as well)
  • Instant Pot Rack (Only needed if using the Instant Pot)

Ingredients

  • 12 Eggs
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 bowl Ice Water

Instructions

  • Place the cooking rack in the Instant Pot and add the water. Stack the eggs on the rack and make sure they are all on the rack.
  • Put the lid on the Instant Pot and cook the eggs on high pressure for 5mins if your using eggs that are 3-4 week old and 10 mins if you’re using eggs that are 1-2 weeks old. Once the cooking process is done, allow the eggs to sit in the instant pot for an additional 10 mins.
  • Release the pressure from the Instant Pot. Make sure you allow all the pressure to come out before opening the lid. Remove the lid and transfer the eggs to the bowl of ice water using tongs. Allow the eggs to sit in the ice water for 10-15 mins.
  • This is the satisfying part! Crack the egg by gently tapping it on the table then rolling it around in your fingers cracking up the rest of the shell. You will feel when the shell is ready to come off. You can watch the video tutorial above to see exactly how I did it.
